REFERRALS
TO COMMUNITY AGENCIES
A main objective of the Transition Program is to provide employment-related
services to Bureau of Correctional Enterprises inmate workers
while they are incarcerated. Other factors also may affect
employment therefore information is available about community
resources. Referrals are often made to the Community Corrections
Employment Program (CCEP) to provide assistance in the areas
program participants need help in. If our program cannot directly
assist participants in meeting their social needs, connections
will be made with an agency in the community who can.

WISCONSIN
JOB NET
Wisconsin Job Net is a service provided by the Wisconsin Department
of Workforce Development. This is an Internet site that contains
job listings by county for the state of Wisconsin. Just prior
to release, job listings are individually selected based on
inmate work experience, qualifications, and county of release
and sent to the inmate worker. |
REFERENCES
With an inmate worker's authorization, the Transition
Program staff will act as a work reference for Badger State
Industries workers. Work evaluations are then used to
explain
the quality of their employment to potential employers.
